For this assignment students were asked to redesign a zoo website.

Amanda wanted this design to be unique among other sites since the zoo that served as the inspiration was a small local organization. She wanted the website to serve as a hook for a zoo that otherwise struggled to stand out amongst competition. Playing on the zoo’s location in the Pacific Northwest the navigation menu incorporated a campy cabin-esque vibe. Continuing with the outdoorsy atmosphere that the Pacific Northwest is known for Amanda showcased zoo animals in retro polaroids hung on rope. The remaining image links further matched the theme. And the forest background completed the look by bringing everything together. This tone was carried throughout the website, providing information in stylish fashion. A mobile site format was design as well, utilizing the same theme but reformatting objects for better user navigation.
